Dennis is a Homeland Missionary serving full-time with Friends of Recovery NE Ohio. Previously, he worked as a drug, alcohol and mental health clinician in a large agency. There, he specialized in adolescents (12-25 years old) and also coordinated their Intensive Outpatient Program. Prior to officially becoming a counselor, Dennis served as a Lieutenant/Paramedic with South Euclid Fire Department. He served 23 years in the fire service before an unplanned medical condition forced his retirement.
Dennis’ motivation to serve the recovery community is fed in two ways. First, his professional experience as a counselor and firefighter has highlighted the need for hope, healing and support. More importantly, his primary motivational source has come from within his own family. For more than ten years, Dennis has walked the addiction’s mine field alongside his son. By God’s grace, mercy, and love his son has embraced recovery. Dennis is passionate about reaching individuals as well as families struggling with addictions. He, along with Friends of Recovery NE Ohio, offer hope, healing, and support through recovery housing in and around Lake County, Ohio.

Laura Fulton has been an entrepreneur and a business owner in the Cleveland area for over 30 years. She became involved with addiction recovery and specifically Friends of Recovery, because her daughter became addicted to heroin.
Through her daughter’s addiction, Laura discovered a real need for Christ centered addiction recovery homes. When her daughter was in crisis and they were desperately looking for quality place for her to go, they found there were waiting lists at every recovery home. “ As a mother trying to get her child help, I saw this enormous need!”
Statistics are proving that Christ centered recovery programs have much better results than secular programs. “Jesus is the key to long term successful recovery! After my daughter’s experience, I have a passion for helping other addicts and I am so happy to have the opportunity to be a part of Friends of Recovery!
Susan serves as a support member of the Friends of Recovery NE Ohio ministry team. She is passionate about helping others find hope and healing through Jesus that she herself has experienced.
Janelle’s passion is to bring hope to the lost through the gospel of Jesus Christ not just in word but in action and love. Her heart is with the hurting, the forgotten, the struggling, the hopeless, the addict. Her middle child has been an addict nearly 13 years, the last 9 to heroin. By the grace of God and prayer warriors her son is still here in need of healing and deliverance.
She currently serves in many ministries. She is a Sunday School Superintendent, facilitates church services in Lake County Jail and also conducts one-on-one life coaching sessions with female inmates, speaks regularly with juveniles at the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center, as well as Chairperson for the Hope Over Heroin rally held at the Lake County Fairgrounds summer 2017.
Her favorite verse: “Do not grow weary in doing good for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
