Next Step Living

Where recovery and life come together.

Recovery happens best in community.

Friends of Recovery homes provide a safe, affordable, nurturing, drug and alcohol-free residential environment for both women and men that have chosen recovery.

During a resident’s stay with us, we teach them the life skills necessary to blossom into a functioning/productive member of society by offering lifesaving tools to help throughout their recovery journey.  They meet and live with like-minded people and develop relationships based on love and trust.

Our residents learn such things as what addiction is and how it affects them and their family.  We address and educate them about their addiction and provide proactive solutions to help them lead productive lives and become positive members of society.  We offer and promote 12-step meetings.  We utilize social media channels to make available facts, statistics, and other related information and solutions offering alternative living solutions to those individuals in recovery, whether, from alcohol or substance abuse.

“This house has made me part of a family. It’s shown me how to reconnect to my biological family. It’s shown me that life is meant to be lived in connection with others. It’s taught me that if God is first in my life, I never have to feel like I’m last ever again!” ~Steve

What do we expect from the residents?

  1. We expect everyone to remain sober.

  2. We expect that everyone’s journey will be different so there is no set number of days for living in one of our recovery homes.

  3. We expect everyone to help others struggling with addiction within the recovery house as well as in the community.

  4. We expect everyone to give back to the community by living a functional and productive life. Simply put, we believe the more we help others, the more we help ourselves.

“Living at the Tikvah Home has only enhanced my opportunity to grow closer with The Lord and has enriched my life tremendously, on every level. There’s love here, and encouragement, and hope, along with accountability and support. I know that my season here is temporary but the memories and relationships I have here are for a lifetime. And I know that my experience in this home is without a doubt helping me to become a better man.”
