A Brief History

Since 2016, Friends of Recovery NEO has been led by Christ, shepherded by its Founders and Board of Directors and served by a faithful staff of volunteers.

In 2017, after months of renovation aided by many generous donors and volunteers, we opened Tikvah Home for Men and launched the JourneyMen support group for all adult men.

In 2019, we launched the SisterhHood support group for all adult women. We also acquired Arukah Home for Women and began renovations.

We welcomed the first residents of Arukah Home for Women in the Fall/Winter of 2020.

In 2021, we began renovating our 3rd home, Shalom. We expect this special home will support women with young children in their next step living journey. Shalom’s Open House is slated for May 6, 2023.

In the meantime, hundreds of our support community members have been blessed and have blessed others.

“I’m truly grateful to be invited into the family at the Tikvah Home. It is such a blessing to be given a second chance at life. Tikvah has brought me closer to my family and is helping me have a better relationship with God and for that I am truly grateful. The family here and the support of the community is so strong, I’m blessed to be a part of it.”
